Well, what can I say. I fell in love with this laptop in the store and had to have it, in fact I bought two and planned on using them as primary computers in my home. While this laptop looks absolutely beautiful, it has some VERY seious design flaws. Have you herd the term: bag of *#!&% in a pretty bag? I have just returned my forth unit. First and foremost, if you are planning on doing any video streaming or watching/listening to any type of file with sound, dont purchase this machine. I have owned several laptops and this is by far the worst sound (non existant) I’ve ever heard…or didnt hear. Toshiba actually put the speakers under the machine!! If you use this laptop on your lap (LAPTOP) or any flat surface, you wont hear a thing! (yes the volume was all the way up and I have perfect hearing). In fact, I actually re-installed the sound card driver because I just couldnt believe the speakers were designed this way?? Really really poor. The second design flaw is the mouse. If you do any research online regardng this issue, you will find that everyone is having trouble with the mouse pad freezing depending on where you tap, and it and doesnt come back without re-installig the drivers. Well, its true…I did it on all four machines I returned. And, if all that wasnt enough, the keyboard is so slick, your fingers actually slide off the keys. I mean like glass. This issue certainly isnt the end of the world and if this was the only issue, I would more than likely still own the laptops. The first two mentioned, however, are serious issues and really unacceptable. Its really a shame because this computer could have sold really well, but not being able to hear videos on youtube, watching/listenig to streaming music, or any website with sound, is just crazy!! The mouse issue is mind boggling.

In a day of streaming media, HD content and click happy websites, shame on you Toshiba. I would really love to know who thought putting speakers under a laptop was a good idea…..

Just got the computer yesterday. Had some software issues, maybe with Windows 7. Toshiba says I have to deal with Microsoft. Microsoft says I have to deal with Toshiba? Plan to return it!!

This is my 5th Laptop and 7th Computer in my life. I had previously owned two PC’s – Dell and HP.

    Laptops i owned are Acer – 4100, Lenovo 3000 N100, IBM ThinkPad T40, T60, T61, Apple Macbook Pro.

And this is my 50th Purchase from Amazon.

I bought this Laptop after making a tough comparison with ASUS X5. This one as others mentioned have lot of -ves.

First let me list all the +ves.

    1. Bright Screen.

    2. Good battery life ( but in low feature as advised you can get max of 7 hrs).

    3. Speaker sound is OK -after you make the adjustments as advised by others.

    4. Laptop speed is an average.

    5. Lightweight this is less than 4 Lbs as mentioned.

    1. Toshiba have an TV ad for T135 – saying this will start working in 10 secs after you just close the LID, but its not true. This takes atleast a minute to show the screen. I guess the processor is pretty slow or un responding.

    2. Wifi Card – Atheros is the utter flop and everytime i have to manually right click on the bar and say Troubleshoot problems. – 0 Star.

    3. Web Cam is the most ugliest i have ever seen – Lots of Grains and its not clear., have to do lot of adjustments to make it seeable. – 0 Star.

    4. Key board is the major Flaw, in my case the Down arrow and the Left arrow keys got struck and times not working.,

    Alt + Spacebar combination is un-recognizable. – 0 Star

    5. Touch Pad is a major major Flaw and very much Annoying., because of this i am giving the least star., Amazon should allow 0 stars. One single bar for LEft and Right click is very tough and needs lots of pressure to use. – 0 Star

6.Though this laptop runs silently at times Laptop gets heated for no reason. You cannot keep it in your Lap on that heat.

My sincere advise is please do not buy this Laptop and waste your time.

Amazon’s customer service is pretty good as always. They sent me the return Lable to my mail ID today. So going to return this Laptop. These are my last words from the same Laptop.

This computer is extremely nice and thin. The screen is really beautiful aswell. If you looking at mini netbooks you should take a look at this computer because of its sive, weight, screen, battery life and how energy efficient it is. Great portable labtop.

After a year the battery power charger failed. It was a gift to my son to help with his college studies and, of course, without the ability to recharge the battery, rendered the notebook useless and thus the reason for the poor evaluation. A critical single point of failure.
